Learning how to spell your name and other words can be frustrating at time for children. Perhaps they are grasping the concept of how to spell, but haven't yet mastered the grip on writing utensils.
What you'll need: a cutting board, hot glue gun, hot glue sticks, paper, crayons
1. Take a plastic cutting board and "draw" the alphabet with the hot glue.
2. Let it dry.
3. Place a paper over your board.
4. Take a crayon and make a rubbing!
It gives the child the opportunity to be excited about something they might find frustrating. The more they find spelling exciting, the more they are going to want to do it.
