The Doona

I will warn you that this product is pricey, so much so that I was not able to afford it.  It saddened me so much to come to the realization that it was not going to make it into our home.  I will be on my death bed, and with my final breath, I will express my regret for not having gotten it.  I was seriously obsessed!  But if you are fortunate to be able to afford it, you should.  The weight of this car seat opposed to others is considerably more, but the fact that you will have to carry much less often, makes up for it in my mind.  Especially if you live in a city, where you aren't always driving your own car, you NEED this.  It doesn't need the base, although it does make it easier getting in and out of a car if you have a constant transportation, but imagine if you had to hop in a taxi with your baby.... Trying to get a car seat in, and a stroller, and then when you get out, people are often honking at you.  Then if you wanted to take your baby to a park, and you encounter stairs.... dreaded stairs....  With the Doona, you can just fold the legs up, carry them up safely and when you get to the top, engage the wheels again.  Much more convenient than trying manage a typical stroller/car seat combo.  Many moms take their child to daycare, and when they get there, it's more trouble than it's worth to take the stroller portion out, so most tend to just carry the car seat in.  Sooo many life situations, that I could imagine this product making my life easier.  But alas, it was not in my destiny, but maybe it could be in yours.  In the attached link, I provided all the Doona products so if you needed an additional base or an accessory, you can find them through my link.  I also put a cool mobile trike option that I thought was really neat.  Check it out!
