I looooove masking tape!!!!! There is not a day that goes by that I don't use it for something in my classroom.

Obviously it works as tape, but that's not it....

Painting - I love using masking tape to create lines in the children's painting. You can apply the tape yourself to the canvas or let the children do it themselves. For best results, peel the paint before it dries all the way.

Tape Tag - Place pieces of masking tape throughout the playground and instruct them to collect the pieces. The child with the most, wins.

Gross motor obstacle course. Create lines for the children to balance on, jump to, zig zag, and twirl. This can also include a hop scotch course.

Add to dramatic play - I ordered myself all the colors of masking tape I could and I love creating scenery in dramatic play to go along with my theme. You can easily create a castle, or trees, cages for your zoo animals.
