One of my favorite things to do in my preschool class is to hang up their 'Lego Art.' Often times, I would find that the children were really proud of what they built with the legos and didn't want to put them back in the bin. I tried to dedicate a shelf to display their creations, but almost guaranteed, there would be that one kid, that would find it funny to tinker with other people's build. And that is likely to spin out into a variety of 'fun' behaviors.
Finally, I came up with this creative solution, and it has worked great! I tell the children before hand that they can't build it to tall because we don't want pieces falling off. I hand out the panels and the children work their magic. Then attach a medium binder clip to the panel and hang it from a medium command hook.
The children get so much satisfaction to be able to show off their art when their parents come to pick them up. They take pride in something they created. And they are able to see beauty in things beyond a traditional canvas.
