Bluff Point

 

Bluff Point State Park is a Connecticut state park located in the town of Groton. The park occupies an undeveloped peninsula on Long Island Sound between the Poquonnock River and Mumford Cove. The park contains a barrier beach, steep cliffs, forested sections, and tidal wetlands.

Harkness Park

Harkness Memorial State Park (230 acres) is a Connecticut state park and botanical garden located in Waterford, Connecticut over looking the Long Island Sound. The park has a mansion, several themed gardens, and even a small beach area.  There is such a variety of structures and plant life that it has an endless possibility of photographs.

Devil's Hopyard

Devil's Hopyard is a state park in East Haddam, Connecticut.  There you can find Chapman Falls, a lovely covered bridge, and an interesting stone tunnel.

Gillette Castle State Park

Gillette Castle was built in 1914 to be the private home of William Gillette, who was an American actor most known for his role as Sherlock Holmes on stage.  This unique castle over looks the Connecticut River.  This state park is 184 acres of beautiful scenery.

This location overlooks the Connecticut River and provides a variety of beauty.

Mohegan Park

At Mohegan Park, there are a number of spots perfect for photographs.  There is a lovely rose garden, several gazebos, and breath taking arch ways.

Nathan Lester House

The Nathan Lester House is a nice local gem.  It is a museum open to the public with beautiful grounds to explore.

The Saw Mill

Right here in our lovely Ledyard, you will find an authentic water powered sash saw mill.  It is not far to go for some beautiful photos of you and your family.
